About VPN Scouting

VPN Scouting compares 98 VPN plans from 27 providers on what you actually pay per month and what you get for it: privacy features, server countries and how many devices you can connect. We built it because VPN pricing pages are hard to compare, with different billing periods, free bonus months and introductory prices.

Who runs VPN Scouting

VPN Scouting is made by Tech by Build, which also runs VPS Scouter. We're independent: no VPN company owns or funds VPN Scouting.

How the prices are collected

Every Sunday our scraper visits the pricing page of each provider and records the current plans. Each plan is converted to a monthly price over its full billing period, free months included, so plans are compared on the same terms. You can read exactly how plans are ranked on how we rank.

How VPN Scouting is funded

Some links to providers are affiliate links. If you buy a plan through one, the provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never change a provider's position: the rankings are calculated from the features and the price you pay, and providers we don't earn anything from are ranked the same way.
